distinctive and authentic trading post.
We have a permanent team of seafood chefs who have been building up
expertise in the field of local seafood for a very long time. In collaboration with the
Culinary Academy (Kulinarisk Akademi) and the Institute of Gastronomy
(Gastronomisk Institutt), we have developed a range of seafood dishes based
on local ingredients. We make everything from scratch and produce our own
stockfish and boknafisk (cured cod).
The owners of Støtt Brygge are Eva Andersen (50) and Svenn Sørensen (55).
Eva has previously held managerial positions in the fields of real estate, finance
and consultancy services in Oslo. She now lives in Støtt all year round and
works full-time at the business. Svenn works 20% of the time at Støtt and 80%
at the DNB bank in Bodø.
Støtt Brygge AS (Ltd.) is situated in the fishing village of Støtt, in the middle of the shipping lane, northernmost on the coast of Helgeland. For hundreds of years Støtt was a very important trading post and port of call for the old cargo
vessels (jekt) along the coast.
Today the island is a vibrant fisheries community with a fish landing station and
an active coastal fishing fleet.
